, Somali Defense Minister Abd al-Qadir Mohammad Noor, who went to Ankara, signed an agreement to strengthen military security cooperation with his Turkish counterpart Yashar Güler.
The Minister of Defense of Somalia, appreciating Ankara’s support for the nation and government of Somalia, said: this agreement will strengthen bilateral cooperation and increase stability and security in the Horn of Africa.
He pointed to the existence of strong relations between Somalia and Turkey and said: This agreement includes the fight against terrorism and financial cooperation in the military dimension, and we believe that such an agreement will significantly help Somalia.
According to the official news agency of Somalia, the Minister of Defense of Turkey appreciated the actions of Somalia in the fight against terrorism and said: Ankara will help in the field of providing military weapons to the Somali army and training its soldiers. The country will continue and participate in the reconstruction and growth and prosperity of Somalia.
He stated that Turkey and Somalia are determined to expand He said: This agreement signed in Ankara will play a significant role in the development of bilateral military relations.
