According to Mehr News Agency to Quoting from TART, Mullah Janan Sayegh, the spokesperson of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Crisis Management, announced that the number of victims of the landslide in the east of the country has increased to 25.
According to Saiq, about 25 people have been killed and eight others injured so far due to landslides caused by heavy snowfall and avalanches in Nuristan province in eastern Afghanistan.
The authorities have said that the snow has interrupted the rescue operations. Nuristan, which borders Pakistan, is mainly covered with mountain forests and includes the southern tip of the Hindu Kush mountain range.
Mohammad Nabi Adel, head of Nuristan Public Services Department, said that due to the weather conditions, the helicopter is not able to land in the accident area.
