South Africa’s call for countries to testify against the Zionist regime

South Africa's ambassador in The Hague asked all the countries of the world to testify against the Zionist regime's genocide in Gaza with documents.

Wusimozi Madonsela, South Africa’s ambassador to the Netherlands, called on all countries to testify against the Zionist regime in the case that his country has brought to the International Court of Justice, so that this regime is punished for the crime of genocide.

Madonsela began the interview with Anatolia news agency by explaining her country’s motives for filing this lawsuit against Israel. He said: As a country that was directly oppressed and suffered under the apartheid regime, it was very important for us to participate in preventing the suffering of others under the same regime.

He added: We see that what Israel is doing in the occupied Palestinian territories is the worst version of what we lived in the apartheid regime.

According to Madonsela, South Africa considers filing this lawsuit against the Zionist regime at the International Court of Justice as its duty to its people and the international community to ensure that the Zionist regime is accountable for its actions.

He said that his country has filed this complaint and has enough evidence to prove that the Zionist regime has committed the crime of genocide. In this regard, he pointed to the actions of the occupying Zionist military in the war and the settlers of this regime, as well as the statements of its high-ranking political and military officials, which are consistent with the intention to destroy the Palestinian people.

This South African diplomat said about his country’s expectations from the outcome of the complaint and its subsequent actions: At the end of this process, we expect the court to declare that the continued occupation of Palestinian lands by Israel is illegal and must end.

Madonsela added: After that, the issue will be referred to the General Assembly (United Nations) to act with the court’s decisions on how to implement the abolition of apartheid in the Palestinian territories.

The ambassador of South Africa invited the member countries of the Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide to participate in the sessions of the International Court of Justice and present their views along with the evidence they have in order to show the court that the Zionist regime has committed the crime of genocide.

In the end, he announced that if the court reaches this conclusion, South Africa is waiting for the appropriate punishment of the Zionist regime.
