Arrest of 12 suspects of human trafficking in Italy

The Italian police announced that they have arrested 12 human trafficking suspects on charges of organizing the transfer of at least 73 illegal immigrants from Tunisia to Europe.
In a statement from the Italian police, it is said that human traffickers take illegal immigrants in relatively small groups of up to 20 people moved. According to the police, the smugglers received up to 6,000 euros for each person.
Among those detained, six Tunisians and six Italians are seen as part of a coordinated investigation by European police “Europol” and the Italian anti-mafia police unit were arrested.
A former Tunisian police officer was also identified as the head of the human trafficking organization.
Not long ago, the Prime Minister of Italy called for serious consideration of the issue of illegal immigrants. “Georgia Maloney” declared that illegal immigration is harmful, especially because human trafficking gangs are involved in this process.
