report Mehr News According to Reuters, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stressed the importance of Turkey’s role in helping to resolve the Ukraine crisis.
In the meeting with Hakan Fidan, the US foreign minister stressed that the US is very focused on issues related to the alliance (NATO).
Blinken emphasized that America is also focused on the current aggression of Russia in Ukraine. The same place where Turkey has played an important role in supporting Ukraine in various ways, which will be discussed today.
The US foreign minister said that during this meeting, he also discussed the Middle East and the conflict in Gaza with his Turkish counterpart. According to Blinken, America is interested in reducing and ending the suffering of women, children and innocent men who were caught in the conflict in Gaza.
Earlier in a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart in Istanbul, the president of Ukraine repeated his old view that a peace plan should be prepared by other countries without the participation of Moscow, and said: “We are not ready to see Russian representatives in such a meeting.” /p>
