According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency, “Sadr Azam Osmani, deputy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Animal Husbandry of the Taliban government, met with Ghulam Reza Najari, the head of the economic department of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul.
Iran’s experiences in the agricultural sector, he said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has many experts and many experiences in the agricultural sector, countries affected by the production and cultivation of poppy in Afghanistan should cooperate with farmers and promote alternative cultivation”.
According to the announcement published by the Ministry of Agriculture of Afghanistan, Najari emphasized on bilateral cooperation and noted: Iran was the first country to welcome the prohibition of poppy cultivation in Afghanistan and to cooperate in this field. It will continue.
It should be said that the said delegation arrived in Kabul this morning and the purpose of this trip is to follow up on the approvals of the sixth joint commission of Iran and Afghanistan in the fields of agriculture and trade.
Afghanistan five documents of economic cooperation with the titles “Memorandum of Understanding of the meeting of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation, Minutes of the meeting of the Joint Committee on International Road Transport Cooperation, Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran and the Afghan side, the document of cooperation between Zob Ahan Isfahan and the Afghan side and the document Free Zone Cooperation” was signed between the two countries.
