report Mehr News Agency, according to Reuters, the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” warned of the widening scope of the humanitarian consequences of the war in Sudan.
UNICEF warned on Friday of possible catastrophic casualties in Sudan, saying the civil war is exacerbating hunger in the country.
A UNICEF official said that the brutal war in Sudan is pushing the country towards famine and if the political will, attention and resources to respond are there now. If not, one should expect catastrophic losses.
This UN official, widespread hunger in Sudan is the number one concern of the people.
UNICEF previously predicted that more than 3.7 million children in Sudan will suffer from acute malnutrition this year.
