Putin: Wheat export exceeded arms export in Russia
A few days after his re-election victory, the President of Russia announced that Russia is the first wheat exporting country in the world. |
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a meeting with members of his election campaign that the country is currently the world’s first wheat exporter and that Russia’s agricultural industry has become more technologically advanced and modern.
According to the RT report, the President of Russia announced: No one imagined that the value of the export of agricultural products would be several times the value of the export of arms and military equipment of Russia, the second largest arms exporter in the world.
Putin went on to say: Victory in the elections is only a prelude to the victories that Russia desperately needs and there is no doubt that it will achieve them.
With the beginning of the war in Ukraine, there were concerns about a sharp decrease in wheat production in Russia and Ukraine as the two largest producers and the emergence of a global food crisis, but statistics show that these concerns were unfounded. Russia’s wheat production will reach 90 million tons in 2023, which is only 2 million tons less than last year and even 5 million tons more than when the war started in 2020.
