The foreign ministers of 5 Arab countries discussed with a Palestinian official as well as the US Secretary of State regarding the Gaza ceasefire. |
The spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry says that the ministers of the Arab countries discussed with the Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization about the issue of Gaza ceasefire and facilitating the arrival of aid to this region.
According to Reuters, these ministers have also held a meeting with Anthony Blinken, the US foreign minister. It is said that the foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and the UAE were present in this meeting.
Blinken, who traveled to Egypt, previously met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to discuss the ceasefire negotiations. The US Secretary of State also met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
The United States has recently prepared a draft of a resolution in which it calls for an immediate and lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. America, which is the key supporter of the Zionist regime, had vetoed the ceasefire resolutions in the Security Council many times before.
It is said that this resolution calls for no ground attack on the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip. However, some analysts have said that the items mentioned in the resolution are not precise and its language is vague.
