reported by Russia Elium, “Sergei Lavrov” The Russian Foreign Minister said in a television interview that the actions of Western countries in Ukraine are due to their desire to prevent Russia from becoming a superpower.
In another part of this interview, Lavrov responded to the fact that the war in Ukraine today is not in 2014 and after the coup Yev, but it started in 1999, when the West revealed its desire for aggression, said that this is fully consistent with Russia’s positions, and President Putin has also mentioned it many times.
He continued: This process started after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Americans felt that there was no longer a competitor on the other side of the field. They wanted Russia to be only a regional power and nothing more, and they deployed a large number of American advisers in all Russian economic, financial and banking institutions to achieve this goal.
The Russian Foreign Minister went on to say that he believes that Western hegemonic countries are trying to maintain their hegemony even at the cost of destroying others.
Lavrov noted that the United States, as the largest and most powerful country, is left alone, and its bloody adventures in Yugoslavia and Ukraine are in the context of the same terrible attacks in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria took place without any international legal basis.
