America: Attacking Rafah is against Israel’s national interests
The US State Department announced that the attack on Rafah will further isolate Israel internationally. |
The anger of the Zionist authorities over the failure of the United States to veto the Security Council resolution that called for a cease-fire in Gaza, made Tel Aviv send its high-ranking delegation to Washington to discuss the cancel the attack on Rafah; An issue that America is extremely worried about.
According to Al Jazeera, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller announced today (Tuesday) that an attack on the Rafah area in Gaza could endanger Israel’s national security.
Miller added in this regard: In addition to the danger this attack has for Israel’s security, this operation can harm Palestinian civilians and the process of humanitarian aid entering Gaza, most of which are carried out through the Rafah crossing.
Referring to the population density of Palestinian refugees in Rafah, which now exceeds one million and 500,000 civilians, he added: conducting operations in this area will further isolate Israel internationally. Therefore, in order to avoid the risks that this operation will have for Israel’s national security, Tel Aviv should not attempt to do it.
Miller emphasized: This operation causes further separation between Israel and its long-term partners. We have made it clear that such actions are not in Tel Aviv’s interests. Also, this operation is against the interests of the Palestinian people.
Zionist authorities have repeatedly announced their readiness to start ground operations in Rafah, despite the insistence of the United States and other allies, which could cause a jump in the number of civilian casualties.
