Norway: Israel must follow the ruling of the International Court of Justice
Norway welcomed the new ruling of the International Court of Justice regarding the need for the people of Gaza to have access to humanitarian aid. |
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway wrote in its account on the X social network: With the approaching famine (in Gaza), the International Court of Justice has ordered that Israel take “all necessary measures” to ensure access to humanitarian aid; Therefore, Israel must follow this ruling and the Relief and Employment Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) can operate at full capacity.
The Zionist regime accused 12 of the 13,000 UNRWA members of participating in the Al-Aqsa storm operation; baseless accusations that caused the American aid to this humanitarian institution to be cut off.
On Thursday, the judges of the International Court of Justice unanimously ordered the Zionist regime to take all necessary and effective measures to ensure the arrival of basic food for the Palestinian residents of Gaza without delay.
Reuters news agency quoted officials of the International Court of Justice and wrote: Palestinians living in Gaza are facing worsening living conditions and hunger and famine are spreading in this area.
The judges of the International Court of Justice wrote in their order to the Zionist regime: This court observes that the Palestinians in Gaza are not only facing the risk of starvation, but a famine is taking place in this area.
These new measures have been proposed at the request of South Africa and as part of the country’s complaint against the Israeli regime.
On Thursday, UN Human Rights Commissioner Volker Turk blamed the Zionist regime for creating a humanitarian crisis in Gaza and stated that imposing famine in Gaza is a “war crime”.
In a conversation with the BBC, he stated: There is credible evidence that Israel is using famine as a weapon of war in Gaza.
