reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al-Masirah, the Ministry of Transportation of the National Salvation Government of Yemen announced in Sana’a that the cost of damages to the transportation sector during the 9 years of aggression by the United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and the blockade of Yemen was more than 13.5 billion dollars.
“Abd al-Wahhab al-Dara”, the Minister of Transportation of Yemen, in a press conference in Sana’a about the losses of various transport sectors as a result of the 9-year siege of this country, added that the losses of the air navigation sector during this period are about 7 billion dollars. The damage in the maritime sector has reached more than 5.5 billion dollars, and the damage in the land transportation sector has reached about 1 billion dollars.
While repeating the request for the full and comprehensive reopening of the Sana’a International Airport without restrictions and conditions for all international destinations, he demanded the reconstruction of Hodeidah Port in accordance with the Stockholm Agreement of 2018.
