A delegation from Hamas to Egypt/ examining the proposal of a permanent ceasefire in Cairo

By issuing a statement, the Hamas movement announced the visit of a delegation headed by Khalil al-Hiya to Cairo tomorrow (Sunday) with the aim of reviewing developments related to the ceasefire and starting a new round of negotiations.

reported by Al-Jazeera news network, quoting the Hamas movement, announced that on Sunday, April 7 (19 Farvardin) a delegation headed by Khalil Al-Hiya, the deputy leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip will go to Cairo to negotiate a ceasefire.

This board emphasized that the ceasefire in the Gaza war between Hamas and Israel should be permanent and the Israeli forces should leave the Gaza Strip. Also, Palestinian prisoners should be released in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages.

Also earlier, a Hamas source told Al Jazeera that intensive consultations between Hanieh and mediators have been going on in Cairo for the past few hours to resume negotiations.

The said source announced: Hanieh has informed the mediators that any talks and negotiations It should be based on establishing a permanent ceasefire.

The source said: Haniyeh has stressed that any negotiations must include a full withdrawal. occupiers and the unconditional return of displaced persons.

This delegation will be chaired by Khalil Al-Hiya.

Negotiations to establish a ceasefire and release the hostages have been going on for months without results. So far, only once, with the mediation of the United States, Qatar and Egypt, the two warring parties agreed on a one-week ceasefire at the end of November. During this agreement, about 100 Israeli hostages were released in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners.
