“Facilitation of genocide” opened Germany’s feet to the Hague Tribunal
Nicaragua filed a complaint against Germany to the International Court of Justice in The Hague and accused this country of facilitating the genocide due to its military and political support to the Zionist regime. |
Germany is facing the charge of “facilitating genocide” against the Palestinians through military and political support to the Zionist regime, in the complaint filed by Nicaragua against this country at the International Court of Justice.
According to the AFP report, Nicaragua asked the judges of the court to apply emergency measures to force Berlin to stop supplying weapons and other support to the Zionist regime.
In this regard, Sebastian Fischer, the spokesman of the German Foreign Ministry, told reporters before the hearings: Germany will respond to these accusations. We reject the accusations made by Nicaragua.
He further claimed: Germany has not violated the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, nor international humanitarian laws, and will investigate this issue completely in the International Court of Justice.
Nicaragua is scheduled to present its case on Monday, while Germany will respond the following day. In a 43-page document submitted to the court, Nicaragua asserts that Germany is violating the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, which was concluded following the Nazi Holocaust.
In this case, it was stated: Germany is facilitating genocide by sending military equipment and now stopping financial aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).
In a separate case, South Africa has accused the Israeli regime of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, charges Tel Aviv strongly denies. In this case, the court ordered the Zionist regime to do everything possible to prevent acts of genocide. Recently, the court has toughened the stance and issued more orders requiring the regime to increase access to humanitarian aid.
Nicaragua requested five temporary measures, including the immediate suspension of aid (Germany) to the Zionist regime, especially military aid, including military equipment. It also asked the court to order Germany to reverse its decision to suspend aid to UNRWA. Nicaragua stated in this complaint: Germany’s support for its ally Israel’s response to the October attacks by Hamas can be understood by Germany. But this cannot be a justification for an action against international laws.
