A number of Islamic countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia, declared Wednesday as the day of Eid al-Fitr due to the lack of sighting of the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan on Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia announced this evening (Monday) that due to the lack of sighting of Shawwal, tomorrow is the continuation of the holy month of Ramadan and Wednesday is Eid al-Fitr.
Some other Arab and Islamic countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait, also announced Wednesday as Eid al-Fitr.
Yesterday, the headquarters of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution announced that Wednesday is Eid al-Fitr in Iran.
