Reducing American support for Israel in the Gaza war
New polls show that American citizens are against Israel's actions in the Gaza war. |
The Zionist lobbies in America, especially the AIPAC lobby, have a lot of power in the foreign policy of this country. However, although the American political structure including the White House and Congress is under the influence of this lobby, the public opinion of this country is well aware of the facts that happened in Gaza and the genocide that Israel is doing in this area.
According to Al Jazeera, the latest polls conducted by the Ipsos Center and the Chicago Council on World Affairs show that the American people, including 32 percent of the respondents, believe that Israel has gone too far in the Gaza war and the military actions of this regime. It is not justified in Gaza.
On the other hand, only 27% of American citizens believe that Israel has the right to defend itself and its actions in Gaza are justified.
Also, 40% of the respondents emphasized that America should use diplomatic pressure and restrictions on sending weapons to Israel in order to put pressure on Tel Aviv to stop the war in Gaza. Meanwhile, only 23% of the respondents were against putting pressure on Israel.
The level of acceptance of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, has also decreased drastically among American citizens, so that only 17% of the democratic respondents and 23% of the independent respondents agreed with his actions.
