Germany: We support the new Syrian government

Stefan Schenk, the representative of Germany in Syrian affairs, claimed on Saturday that good steps have been taken by the new Syrian government and everyone should support them.

The representative of Germany continued his claims and added: We should not allow ISIS to return to Syria because it poses a threat to all of us.

Schenck also said Berlin’s readiness to help Syrian civil society in the transitional phase.

The German representative in Syria emphasized that important issues in Syria, including security and justice, should be addressed before addressing other issues.

This German official claimed: The issue of reopening the German embassy in Damascus needs time, but we are here to support the Syrian people.

The representative of Germany also said that sanctions against Bashar al-Assad were imposed before and now and after the fall of al-Assad, these sanctions should be lifted.

This German official claimed that there is no place for the presence of Russia and Iran in the new Syria.
