European Troika Demands Iran Clarify Its Nuclear Program

The European Troika (the UK, Germany, and France) have called on ‌Iran for greater transparency instead of fulfilling their ⁣commitments under the‍ nuclear deal.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the German Foreign Ministry posted ⁣on X that German Foreign Minister Johan Wadfool met with British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and French Foreign‌ Minister jean-Noël baroui on ⁢the sidelines of ‍a G7 meeting.

The ⁣German official stated that ⁣during this meeting it was emphasized that after the reinstatement⁣ of the snapback mechanism, Iran remains responsible for ensuring genuine transparency in its nuclear program.

He also⁣ cited the situation in West Asia and increased support for Ukraine⁣ as additional topics‌ discussed during the meeting.

This gathering of foreign ministers⁢ from the three European parties to the JCPOA took place ahead of an upcoming International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors meeting, where Iran’s nuclear program will be a key agenda item.

The European Troika’s ‍call​ for Iranian transparency comes despite their failure to honor⁢ any commitments under‍ the nuclear agreement and their lack of concrete steps to lift‍ illegal‍ sanctions against Iran.
