Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Drops to 39% Amid Economic Concerns in 2025

A recent Economist/YouGov poll reveals that 39% of Americans approve of President Donald Trump’s performance in 2025, with 56% expressing dissatisfaction, largely due to economic challenges during his second term.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, President Donald Trump concluded 2025 with a lower approval rating compared to the same period during his first term and even below that of his predecessor, Joe Biden. The latest poll, conducted by Economist/YouGov and published on December 30, 2025, shows Trump’s approval at 39%, with 56% of Americans dissatisfied. This marks a 3% decline from his first term and a 7% drop compared to Biden’s ratings at a similar point in his presidency.

Forbes reported that economic conditions during Trump’s second term have negatively impacted his popularity. Over half of the survey respondents (51%) believe the economy has worsened under his administration. The poll, which involved 1,550 American adults from December 26 to 29, has a margin of error of 3.6%.
