Hamas Condemns Zionist Regime as Most Dangerous Enemy of Media and Journalists

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has issued a statement condemning the Zionist regime as the most dangerous enemy of media freedom and journalists. The statement, released on Palestinian Journalists’ Loyalty Day, emphasized that 257 Palestinian journalists have been killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, during what Hamas describes as a genocidal campaign.
The movement highlighted the crucial role of Palestinian journalists in exposing the crimes of the occupation forces and countering Zionist propaganda. Hamas stated that these journalists, through their reporting of the truth, have revealed the reality of massacres and crimes committed in Gaza.
December 31 has been observed as Palestinian Journalists’ Loyalty Day since 2010, following an initiative by the Palestinian government in Gaza. Hamas used the occasion to honor the sacrifices of journalists who have stood firm in conveying the truth and upholding the Palestinian narrative.
The statement also paid tribute to martyred journalists, wished speedy recovery to the injured, and called for the release of detained media personnel. Hamas urged human rights organizations to continue exposing the Zionist regime’s crimes against journalists and to take immediate action to bring the perpetrators to justice in international courts.
Furthermore, Hamas called on global media outlets to adhere to professional principles of neutrality, integrity, and honesty, and to avoid disseminating misleading narratives propagated by Zionist media about events in Gaza and Palestine.
