Russia Reaffirms Support for Venezuela, Calls for Release of President Maduro

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia has reaffirmed its support for Venezuela’s legal authorities in safeguarding national sovereignty and domestic interests. The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized its commitment to multilateral cooperation with its partners and called on U.S. officials to release Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela’s elected and legitimate president, and his wife.

The ministry stated its firm belief in supporting Venezuela’s right to self-determination. Russia had previously condemned the abduction of Venezuela’s lawful president during the U.S. intervention in the country.
