Italian Prime Minister Labels Protesters as Organized Criminals Following Turin Clashes

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has described protesters involved in weekend demonstrations in Turin as organized criminals. The clashes, which erupted in support of the social center ‘Askatasuna,’ saw violent confrontations between demonstrators and security forces.
Meloni cited the use of Molotov cocktails, hammers, and nail-filled paper bombs by protesters against police officers. She further emphasized that these actions amounted to attempted murder, sharing images of her visit with injured officers at a hospital.
During the protests, demonstrators targeted police with bottles, stones, and smoke bombs, setting fire to trash bins and an armored police vehicle. A total of 108 security personnel sustained injuries in the unrest.
