Hamas Condemns Israeli Restrictions on Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem accused Israel of severely limiting humanitarian aid to Gaza despite a ceasefire agreement, exacerbating the crisis for displaced civilians amid harsh winter conditions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem has condemned the Israeli regime for imposing severe restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, despite the ongoing second phase of the ceasefire agreement. Qassem highlighted that the blockade has worsened the plight of displaced Palestinians, particularly as a new weather system brings colder temperatures and heavy rainfall to the region.

Qassem emphasized that the Israeli occupation forces are permitting only minimal amounts of fuel and gas to enter Gaza, a move he described as a blatant violation of the ceasefire terms. He further stated that these restrictions expose the inaccuracy of Israeli claims regarding the number of aid trucks allowed into the territory, as coordinated by its civil and military liaison office.

The harsh winter conditions have compounded the suffering of displaced families living in unprotected tents, with many struggling to cope with the cold and rain. Qassem’s remarks underscore the urgent need for unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza to alleviate the escalating crisis.
