Iraq Opposes Extension of Foreign Military Presence, Cites September 30 Withdrawal Deadline

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Iraqi government has declared its opposition to any extensions of foreign military presence within the country. Haider Al-Aboudi, the spokesperson for the Iraqi government, announced that while proposals for extending the stay of foreign soldiers and advisors were put forth, the administration has firmly rejected these suggestions.

Al-Aboudi emphasized that the presence of foreign forces and even their advisors will not be extended in Iraq. The date for the departure and withdrawal of the forces belonging to the so-called international (American) coalition has been set for September 30, 2026.
