President Trump Announces $5 Billion Aid Package for Gaza Reconstruction and Deployment of Stabilization Forces

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced via his social media platform ‘Truth Social’ that on February 19, 2026, at the Donald J. Trump Institute for Peace in Washington, member states of the ‘Peace Council’ will pledge their commitment to allocate more than $5 billion for humanitarian assistance and the reconstruction of Gaza.
The President further stated that thousands of personnel will be dispatched to form an international stabilization force and local police units tasked with ensuring the safety and tranquility of Gaza’s residents.
Trump asserted his belief that the ‘Peace Council’ will become the most significant international body in history, expressing pride in presiding over its leadership.
This announcement follows the implementation of the initial phase of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which commenced on October 10, 2025. That agreement was reached after indirect negotiations between Hamas and the Israeli regime, hosted in Sharm El Sheikh and brokered by Egypt, Qatar, the United States, and Turkey, based on a proposal put forth by President Trump aimed at concluding the conflict in Gaza.
