100,000 Palestinians Attend Al-Aqsa Mosque Amidst Israeli Restrictions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Waqf Department of occupied Jerusalem announced a large presence of Palestinians at Al-Aqsa Mosque. Last night, around 100,000 Palestinian worshipers gathered at the holy site to perform the Isha and Taraweeh prayers.
This significant attendance comes as the Israeli regime has enforced strict limitations on worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque this year. Occupation forces prevented residents of the West Bank from accessing the mosque, turning back thousands at the Qalandia checkpoint north of occupied Jerusalem.
Earlier, Ikrima Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the Israeli occupation regime began planning to impose restrictions on worshipers during the month of Ramadan about a month ago. He added that occupation forces, citing security reasons, are displeased with the large presence of Muslims at Al-Aqsa Mosque, aiming to reduce the number of Muslims in Jerusalem and at the holy site.
The preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque emphasized that the measures and restrictions implemented this year are more severe and tense compared to previous years.
