UAE Reports Drone Attack on Fourth Largest Oil Refinery Globally Amid Regional Tensions

The United Arab Emirates announced a drone strike targeting the nation’s fourth-largest oil refinery, a facility with a capacity exceeding 900,000 barrels per day. The incident occurs as ongoing conflict between the United States and Israel continues to impact the region.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the media office of Abu Dhabi announced on the American platform “X” that a drone attack targeted the country’s fourth-largest oil refinery. This development comes amid the ongoing war between the United States and Israel against Iran.

The refinery complex is noted as the fourth largest globally, with a processing capacity of over 900,000 barrels per day. UAE officials stated that emergency teams are responding to the incident, and no casualties have been reported thus far.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the United Arab Emirates had reported that its air defense systems were engaged in confronting missile and drone launches originating from Iran. The text also references missile launches from Iran towards American bases in some regional countries, attributing these actions to those nations hosting U.S. bases that are allegedly used for aggression against Iran.
