Military Analyst: US Misjudged Conflict Duration, Iran’s Response

A military affairs analyst stated that the United States did not anticipate the current conflict to extend to this degree, nor did it foresee the scale of Iran’s reaction and its allies’ involvement.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a military affairs analyst, Elijah Magnier, told Al Jazeera that the United States had not predicted severe damage to its bases in the Middle East and, consequently, Iran’s reaction.

Magnier added that the U.S. was unprepared for the conflict to drag on this long. He believes this is a very difficult moment, as Americans did not anticipate such an extended war and the resulting response from Iran and its allies.

Elijah Magnier emphasized that the U.S. did not expect such damage to all its bases in the Middle East. Iran’s reaction in the Strait of Hormuz was also not anticipated on this scale.

He stated that Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel from Lebanon are placing significant pressure on the regime’s air defense system.

The military analyst continued, saying that whoever shows the first weakness will be declared the loser of this war. This is certainly not something that U.S. President Donald Trump would want, but he is also facing increasing domestic pressure.
