Palestinian Movement Declares Quds Day Symbol of Resistance Against US-Israeli Aggression
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Palestinian National Movement, in a statement marking International Quds Day, has described the occasion as a symbol of honor, dignity, and pride for the discourse of resistance and Iran’s significant confrontation with American-Zionist aggression and the thwarting of their objectives.
The statement emphasized that this year’s International Quds Day holds particular importance amidst legendary and exceptional resistance against American-Zionist aggression, highlighting the painful blows dealt to the enemies by the Islamic Republic of Iran and resistance forces in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq.
The movement paid tribute to the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who initiated the designation of the last Friday of Ramadan as International Quds Day 47 years ago. It stated that Quds Day this year represents dignity, honor, and pride for the resistance’s discourse and its various forces and groups, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has consistently supported these forces and now stands proudly and heroically against the criminal aggression and the projects of the United States and Israel in the region.
The statement criticized former US President Donald Trump, former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and their proponents in the US and Western countries, along with some regional and Arab parties, for allegedly conspiring against the Palestinian cause, Iran, and resistance forces. It asserted that they believed this unprecedented American-Zionist aggression against Iran would enable them to achieve their goals of implementing a new Middle East project and a greater Israel, paving the way for the destruction of the Palestinian cause, regional normalization, the subjugation of nations, and control over their wealth and resources.
However, the Palestinian National Movement stressed that the battles waged by resistance forces, from Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to supporting movements in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, and the significant confrontation by the Islamic Republic of Iran in repelling American-Zionist aggression, have re-legitimized the Palestinian cause and regional issues. This has raised hopes for achieving the objectives of the Islamic Ummah and has foiled all plots and projects designed by American and Zionist circles for Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and the region.
The movement reaffirmed its commitment on this eternal and sacred day to the Palestinian people and the Arab and Islamic Ummah, as well as to the one who declared this historic day for Quds. It pledged that the Palestinian people and their active forces, relying on this major camp in the region and the world and with the support of the axis of resistance led by the Islamic Republic of Iran, will continue the path of struggle and resistance for the liberation of Jerusalem, the protection of Islamic and Christian holy sites, particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque, and all of Palestine.
The Palestinian National Movement expressed pride in Iran’s significant role, the resilience of its people, and the courage of its leadership during these historic and decisive moments for the region’s nations. It celebrated this role, immense sacrifices, and the martyrdom of esteemed figures, including the great martyr and leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, the esteemed martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, and all great commanders and resistance cadres across countries and resistance forces in the region.
