Iraq in Talks with Iran Over Oil Tanker Passage Through Strait of Hormuz

Baghdad is engaging in consultations with Tehran regarding potential transit permissions for some of its oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani announced that Baghdad is in discussions with Iran concerning the issuance of transit permits for some of the country’s oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.
Reports indicate that oil production in the region has seen a reduction amidst escalations initiated by the United States and the imposition of restrictions on maritime traffic within the Strait of Hormuz.
