UN Chief Calls for Diplomacy to Prevail Over War in Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, as reported by Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has declared that the moment has arrived for diplomacy to prevail over warfare, specifically addressing the necessity of halting aggression against Iran.
Guterres articulated his concern, stating, “The time has come for the war in Iran to end so that it does not spiral out of control.” He further stressed the imperative for diplomacy to supersede military action.
In a separate statement, the UN chief, while appearing to disregard the fact that the United States utilizes territory from Persian Gulf Arab nations to launch attacks on Iranian infrastructure and military and civilian centers, asserted that the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz would inflict suffering on numerous people globally who have no connection to the conflict.
Previously, the Secretary-General had publicly underscored the importance of ceasing hostilities and prioritizing diplomatic solutions to prevent the crisis from widening its scope.
