Russia Condemns Natanz Nuclear Facility Attack as Clear Violation of International Law

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated on Saturday that the attack on facilities in Natanz, Iran, constitutes a clear breach of international law.
A statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson regarding the incident asserted that the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency must promptly provide an objective assessment of the attack on the uranium enrichment facilities in Natanz, Iran.
Maria Zakharova further added that irresponsible actions, such as the attack on facilities in Natanz, Iran, pose real dangers of a catastrophe throughout West Asia.
This development comes after Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization released a statement hours earlier, announcing that the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Natanz enrichment complex was attacked on the morning of April 1, 2026, following “criminal attacks by the United States and the usurping Zionist regime.” The organization emphasized that this action contravenes international laws and commitments, including the NPT and other regulations related to nuclear safety and security.
