Israeli Media Dismiss Trump’s Iran Talks Claim as Evasion Tactic

Israeli media outlets have characterized U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertion of engaging in talks with Iran as a strategic maneuver to evade his own threats, expressing surprise at the claim.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing data published by the Mehr News Agency, media outlets of the Zionist regime have described Trump’s claim of negotiations with Iranians as a pretext to evade his threats, expressing astonishment at the move.

Avi Ashkenazi, a correspondent and military affairs analyst for the Zionist newspaper ‘Maariv,’ wrote that U.S. President Donald Trump was seeking a way to descend from the tall tree he had climbed when issuing his ‘showy ultimatum for opening the Strait of Hormuz.’

Ashkenazi reported the ‘surprise of the Israeli military establishment at Donald Trump’s statements’ on this matter and, referring to the illegal demands of the American and Zionist parties from Iran, raised the question of whether the Iranians would agree to the terms of dismantling their nuclear program, ballistic missile project, and opening the Strait of Hormuz.

This Zionist correspondent opined that Trump is currently waging an economic war against oil prices and yesterday took a step to de-escalate tensions to somewhat calm global oil markets.

Ashkenazi also stated yesterday, expressing ignorance about the negotiation process, that ‘it is possible that Israel will increase its operations in Iran and Lebanon in the coming days.’

Just a few hours after Trump’s claims of negotiating with Iran over the past two days, the Iranian side confirmed the falsity of these claims.
