Taliban Government Seeks Expanded Ties with Turkmenistan

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the interim government of Afghanistan has voiced its aspiration to expand relations with Turkmenistan. Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the prime minister of the interim government, stated that Kabul is keen to enhance cooperation with Ashgabat in political, commercial, transit, cultural, and other areas.
The interim administration of Afghanistan has not yet been recognized as the legal government of the country by international forums. Neighboring countries, including Iran, while supporting the Kabul administration, have urged the Taliban to strive for the formation of an inclusive government that encompasses all ethnic and religious groups within Afghanistan.
The Taliban government is currently under intense economic strain due to international isolation and a significant influx of refugees returning from other countries.
