Afghanistan and Russia Sign Military-Technical Cooperation Agreement

Kabul has signed a military-technical cooperation agreement with Moscow, according to an informed source within the interim Afghan government. The deal was finalized during a visit by Afghanistan’s acting Defense Minister to the Russian capital.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an informed source within the interim Afghan government announced on Saturday that Kabul has signed a military-technical cooperation agreement with Russia. The source, speaking to Al Mayadeen news network, indicated that the agreement was signed during the visit of the acting Afghan Defense Minister to Moscow.

Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the acting Defense Minister of Afghanistan, stated regarding the agreement, “We want to build a professional military institution that will play a role in establishing stability in our country and also be a force for stability in the region.”
