Hamas Reports Failure to Halt Gaza Killings Amid Ongoing Violations

Hamas has stated that efforts to stop the killing of residents in the Gaza Strip have failed, despite explicit provisions for a ceasefire in recent agreements, as the Israeli occupation’s actions continue to threaten the cessation of hostilities.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Tahir Al-Nono, media advisor to the head of Hamas‘s political bureau, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the massacre of Gaza Strip residents continues unabated, even though the agreement explicitly stipulated the necessity of a ceasefire.

Al-Nono added that the mediation delegation must clearly identify the party obstructing the implementation of the agreement. He also mentioned that consultations are ongoing to prepare the ground for a new round of negotiations aimed at guaranteeing the implementation of the agreed-upon outcomes.

Previously, the Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine (Hamas) had warned of the collapse of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip following the martyrdom of 20 Palestinians within a 48-hour period between May 27 and May 29. In that statement, Hamas had called upon the United States government and guarantor countries to take immediate and serious measures to compel the Zionist regime to adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

The Hamas movement had also emphasized that the ceasefire agreement in Gaza is facing the risk of collapse due to the crimes of the Zionist regime and its continued brutal violations by the occupying regime.
