Israeli General Warns of Unprecedented Triple Defeat for Tel Aviv

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, General Yisrael Ziv, former head of the Operations Directorate in the Israeli military, has written that the situation of the Israeli army in Lebanon and other areas is unreasonably dependent on Iran. He stated that it is the Iranians who are dictating the terms for ending the war, both in the Persian Gulf and in Lebanon, to the Americans, and it is not unlikely that they will seek to impose conditions for the end of the war in Gaza as well.
Ziv asserted that Iran has achieved a decisive political victory in the war, marking it as a significant strategic achievement for Tehran. He elaborated that escalating the conflict in Lebanon by expanding occupied areas to Nabatieh would reduce the security of Israeli forces and compromise supply routes, while simultaneously providing more targets for Hezbollah’s drones.
The former commander emphasized that attempts to conduct airstrikes on Beirut have yielded no results other than a desperate effort to revert to previous calm equations. Consequently, he suggested that all military gains achieved during the war have been entirely nullified. He added that Tel Aviv has transitioned from a policy of ‘absolute calm’ to ‘absolute victory,’ then to ‘absolute paralysis and defeat,’ and complete subservience to the Americans. Following the failure of the regime change project in Iran, Washington is reportedly paying less attention to Israel, with former President Trump viewing Prime Minister Netanyahu as a nuisance that has drawn Washington into an ill-advised conflict.
The Israeli general reiterated that Iran now holds the upper hand and is dictating the terms for ending the war through the Americans. He posited that after a previous twelve-day conflict, Israel could have pressured the United States into reaching a far more advantageous agreement than the current one. Ziv noted that Hezbollah continues to succeed in harming Israeli soldiers, and Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, has emerged as a winner in this game by leveraging Iran’s power. This progression, he believes, is leading to the imposition of a ceasefire that will also dictate the terms for ending the war, a development he anticipates will occur soon.
According to the Israeli writer, the aforementioned agreements would not only guarantee Hezbollah’s survival in Lebanon but also grant it an inviolable and privileged status as a member of an Iranian-led coalition recognized by the United States. He suggested that Hezbollah’s standing might even surpass that of the Lebanese government itself. Ziv concluded that should Iran succeed in incorporating Hamas into any agreement, it would represent a comprehensive and unprecedented defeat for Israel, potentially marking Netanyahu’s premiership with three major historical failures for Israel. The article concluded by stating that the Israeli regime has never found itself in such a state of ‘political weakness,’ necessitating that a new cabinet forge a completely new path amidst the devastation left by Netanyahu across security, political, economic, and social domains.
