According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a magnitude 8 earthquake has been registered in the Philippines, a region situated within the Pacific ‘Ring of Fire’ known for frequent seismic and volcanic activity. The epicenter of the tremor was located 58 kilometers from General Santos, a city with an estimated population of approximately 679,000 residents. The earthquake’s focal depth was recorded at 57 kilometers below the Earth’s surface. The event occurred at 23:37 Universal Time, which corresponds to 02:37 Moscow time. As of the latest reports, there have been no announcements regarding potential fatalities or damages resulting from the seismic event.
