According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) issued a statement on Monday reporting a maritime incident that took place 27 nautical miles northeast of Shanna, a location within Oman.
The UKMTO’s claim indicates that a tanker caught fire, leading to the evacuation of its crew members. Omani authorities are reportedly coordinating a response to the incident.
Vessels transiting the vicinity have been advised to exercise caution. The UKMTO confirmed that the incident is currently under investigation.
