US Official: Trump Seeks War End Unlike Netanyahu

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a U.S. official has pointed out a significant contrast between the views of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump concerning the ongoing war. The official stated that Netanyahu is counting on the continuation of the war to salvage his political standing, whereas Trump is seeking an end to the conflict to safeguard his electoral future.
Axios reported that this divergence in interests became particularly evident during the recent crisis. Trump explicitly declared that if Netanyahu were to resume the war with Iran, he would face it alone. During a phone call, Trump urged Netanyahu not to respond to Iran’s missile strike in retaliation for a ceasefire violation, but Netanyahu disagreed.
This development comes amid repeated assertions from Iran that hostile actions by the Zionist regime against regional countries are coordinated and have the green light from Washington. Earlier, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that failed attempts to resume a full-scale war with Iran, as well as renewed attacks on Lebanon, were aimed at disrupting the Knesset (parliamentary) elections, with the potential to even cancel them.
