Hezbollah Calls for Lebanon to Mend Ties with Iran, Praising Tehran’s Support
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hezbollah has declared that Iran’s response to Israeli aggressions in defense of the Lebanese people signifies a commitment on moral, political, and field levels towards Lebanon. The group urged Lebanese officials to seize the opportunity to reform relations with Iran in accordance with the interests of both nations, emphasizing the need to benefit from Iranian support to achieve national objectives.
Hezbollah stated that Iran’s reaction underscored the region’s stability, which hinges on concerted efforts to safeguard agreements and hold the Israeli enemy accountable. The statement highlighted that Iran’s backing of Lebanon’s legitimate rights, including bearing the material and political costs, demonstrates Tehran’s consistent support, contrary to any reversal of roles. The party stressed that Lebanese officials should acknowledge Iran’s supportive stance rather than respond with ingratitude and deliberate insults dictated by external forces. These external directives, it asserted, will not diminish the credibility of Iran’s courageous position or its loyalty during a period where interests often overshadow principles.
The statement unequivocally rejected false accusations leveled by some parties against Iran’s honorable role in halting Israeli aggressions. It further clarified that Iran’s reaction, coinciding with the support from Yemen’s Ansarallah, aimed to signal to the United States that backing aggression undermines all agreements. Iran, Hezbollah noted, insists on the inclusion of a ceasefire across all fronts, particularly in Lebanon, within any potential agreement. The party emphasized that a regional umbrella and the strength of resistance empower sovereignty to compel the enemy’s withdrawal through indirect negotiations, thereby facilitating the return of displaced persons and the reconstruction of the country. Hezbollah concluded by expressing gratitude for Iran’s loyalty and the courageous stance of its leadership, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and its people in supporting Lebanese rights.
