Lebanon Reports Over 3,600 Fatalities in Israeli Attacks Since March

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Health has released figures detailing the casualties from Israeli assaults on the country since March 2, 2026. The report indicates that a total of 3,696 people have lost their lives during this period, with an additional 11,413 individuals sustaining injuries.
In the past 24 hours alone, the ministry reported 59 fatalities. The Lebanese Army further stated that one of its personnel, soldier Mohammad Sleiman Al-Ahmed, succumbed to severe injuries sustained in an Israeli airstrike in the Nabatieh region. He had been wounded several days prior and passed away on June 10.
Previous reports from Al-Akhbar had highlighted the significant cost borne by the Lebanese Army in defending national sovereignty, with 27 soldiers killed during recent Israeli aggressions. Despite ongoing political discourse in Lebanon about achieving lasting peace and ending hostilities following the 2024 war and the November 27, 2024 ceasefire agreement, Israeli forces have continued their offensive operations.
From the resumption of hostilities on March 2, 2026, until May 6, 2026, 27 Lebanese soldiers were killed. The Lebanese Army has characterized these attacks as deliberate and brutal, emphasizing that the soldiers were targeted while on duty and in uniform. This occurred despite assertions from Lebanese political figures that army uniforms did not pose a threat to Israel.
The casualties among the Lebanese Army are presented not just as administrative entries but as a testament to the ongoing aggression amidst the political inaction of Lebanese officials.
