Iran’s Minister of Energy Highlights Water Management Challenges and Solutions

According to the Economic Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ali Akbar Mehrabian, the current Minister of Energy, has underscored the urgent necessity for robust water management frameworks and the adoption of advanced technologies to confront Iran’s persistent water challenges. Mehrabian stated that the country is facing significant water stress, necessitating a strategic approach that integrates efficient resource utilization with innovative solutions.
During a recent address, the minister detailed the government’s commitment to enhancing water infrastructure and implementing policies aimed at sustainable water consumption. He highlighted the role of technology in improving irrigation efficiency, reducing water loss in distribution networks, and promoting water recycling and reuse.
Mehrabian further pointed out that climate change and increased demand have exacerbated the water situation, making it imperative for all sectors to contribute to conservation efforts. The Ministry of Energy is actively working on projects to modernize the country’s water systems, including the development of new reservoirs and wastewater treatment facilities.
The minister also called for greater public awareness and participation in water conservation initiatives, stressing that collective action is vital for overcoming the current water crisis.
