Israeli Army Launches Widespread Raids and Arrests Across West Bank

The Israeli military initiated a large-scale operation involving raids and arrests across multiple areas of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem early Wednesday, as reported by Al Mayadeen.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli army launched extensive raid and arrest operations in Qalqilya, located in the northern West Bank, starting Tuesday night. The West Bank and occupied Jerusalem witnessed a significant surge of synchronized incursions by Israeli forces and attacks by settlers early Wednesday.

Israeli soldiers blocked all entrances to Nablus, particularly the Za’tara junction and the Al-Murabaa checkpoint, and assaulted several citizens. Settlers also attacked the Al-Harayiq and Bir Quza areas in the town of Beita, encountering resistance from residents.

In the Ramallah Governorate, settlers set fire to a mosque in the village of Jaljilya, spray-painting racist slogans on its walls. Israeli soldiers also raided the town of Silwad, searching and damaging numerous homes.

The city of Qalqilya and the Nazal neighborhood were subjected to extensive operations by soldiers, armored vehicles, and a bulldozer for several hours, with residential buildings being searched.

In the Qalandia camp, north of Jerusalem, soldiers attacked citizens with live ammunition and stun grenades, causing extensive damage after raiding homes. The old and new Askar camps, Fawwar, the town of Qiffin, and Beit Xu’a were also targeted by Israeli forces. In Jenin, Mohammed Hassan Nassar was arrested after his home in the village of Beit Qad was raided.
