Macron Hails Iran-US Understanding as Foundation for Lasting Peace
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, in response to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States, French President Emmanuel Macron commented that President Trump signed the agreement with Iran at the Palace of Versailles in France.
Macron stated that this MoU opens the door to lasting peace and also allows for the re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif confirmed the signing of the MoU between Iran and the United States by the presidents of both countries.
Sharif also expressed gratitude for Qatar’s role in reaching this agreement.
The Pakistani Prime Minister further emphasized that Islamabad’s MoU will enter the implementation phase immediately.
According to him, in the first step, Iran will immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and in return, the United States will directly lift the maritime blockade.
