US Vice President Vance: 60-Day Period in Iran Deal Commences Amidst Increased Strait of Hormuz Oil Traffic

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance reported that 12.5 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz overnight, marking the highest volume since the conflict in the region began.
Vance, in a statement, characterized the recent events as a victory for the American people and President Trump, irrespective of Iran’s future actions. He noted that Iran had not fired upon any vessels the previous night, indicating adherence to the terms of the agreement. Vance emphasized that the United States will not disburse any funds or lift sanctions without observing Iran’s favorable conduct. He further mentioned that U.S. forces in the Middle East have facilitated the passage of over a dozen ships through a maritime blockade.
The Vice President affirmed the U.S. commitment to implementing the first phase of the agreement. The 60-day period outlined in the memorandum of understanding with Iran commenced on the current day. Vance reiterated that within any final agreement, it is crucial for Iran to be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons or supporting terrorism.
Continuing with repeated allegations against Iran, Vance asserted that the Iranian economy is facing severe difficulties and that the country requires a change in its behavior to integrate into the global economy. He stated that an oppressive economic blockade is currently imposed on Iran and will not be lifted without a fundamental alteration in Iran’s conduct. Vance also expressed expectations that Hezbollah would refrain from firing missiles and drones towards Israel, while simultaneously urging Israel to cease its attacks against Lebanon.
