Hezbollah Claims Israel’s Southern Lebanon Advance Foiled After Airstrikes

The Islamic Resistance announced on Friday that the Israeli army’s attempts to advance into southern Lebanon have been unsuccessful, following airstrikes and artillery shelling by Israeli forces in various Lebanese villages. Lebanese sources reported civilian casualties and damage to homes.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli warplanes and helicopters targeted several areas in southern Lebanon early Friday, including Kfar Sir, Zebdin, Nabatieh El Foka, Kfar Tibnit, Harouf, Charqieh, and Kfar Jouz. These strikes followed reports from Israeli media of a “very bad incident” in southern Lebanon, with some Israeli army casualties being evacuated. The Israeli media also reported rocket fire targeting an Israeli force and the destruction of two military vehicles.

In response, Lebanese media reported that several Israeli armored vehicles caught fire and troop concentrations were targeted due to successive resistance attacks. Hezbollah emphasized that the Kfar Tibnit – Ali Taher area will remain resilient against any enemy infiltration.

Lebanese sources also reported that a number of civilians were killed and injured following an Israeli airstrike on several residential homes in villages in the Nabatieh region.
