UK Denounces Israeli Minister’s Remarks as ‘Abhorrent’

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Kingdom has described the recent statements made by an Israeli minister as “abhorrent.” These comments emerged after four Israeli soldiers were killed in a Hezbollah operation, intensifying pressure on Tel Aviv to cease its attacks in Lebanon.
Itamar Ben-Gvir, the regime’s Internal Security Minister, alongside Finance Minister Smotrich and several other Israeli officials, had previously called for the complete destruction and burning of Lebanon in response to the escalating tensions.
The remarks by Ben-Gvir were made on his personal account, where he wrote: “Burning all of Lebanon is a horrific and abhorrent statement from an Israeli minister, which has rightly been sanctioned by the British government.”
Ben-Gvir has a history of controversial actions. He previously attacked and insulted activists involved in the “Global Fleet of Steadfastness” initiative aimed at breaking the Gaza blockade. He even ordered an assault on these activists, which resulted in his inclusion on the sanctions list of several European countries.
