Saudi Arabia to Host Talks on Improving Ties Between Iran and Persian Gulf Neighbors

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Arabic news website ’21’ reported, citing an informed source, that a meeting is likely to take place in Riyadh. The objective of this summit is to repair relations between Iran and its Persian Gulf neighbors, as well as other regional parties.
The report indicates that this summit follows a deterioration in relations between Tehran and the aforementioned countries, a consequence of U.S. attacks conducted via the territory of neighboring nations, and Iran’s subsequent response targeting U.S. bases in those countries.
Prior to the U.S. and Israeli attacks on its territory on February 28, 2024, Iran had warned that if the United States utilized the soil of neighboring countries for its attacks, Tehran would exercise its legitimate right to respond within those nations. Nevertheless, in its retaliatory strikes, Iran made efforts to ensure no harm came to the economic interests or infrastructure of these neighboring countries, solely targeting military bases and economic centers associated with the U.S. and the Israeli regime.
